Certified Payroll (Monthly Employment Utilization) Reporting Platinum Overview

• Provides Certification of Payroll reports by simply entering payroll data as usual, specifying any jobs the employee worked on, and printing the certification of payroll report when completed.
• Mix payroll entries for any jobs requiring certified payroll reports, jobs not requiring certified payoll reports, and entries for any other payroll types (entries with hours not for jobs, salaried employees, milage, living out allowances, etc.), all within the same pay period.
• Duplication of payroll entry is not required to provide normal payroll check and payroll reports and to produce Certified Payroll Reports.
• Payroll supports a flexible method for posting of payroll transactions to the AccountPro General Ledger and Job Costing modules if installed.
• Time sheets may be entered daily, or at the end of a payroll period. If entered daily, the payroll program will automatically accumulate totals for the applicable payroll period.
• Option to enter multiple payrolls per pay period allow payroll, for example, management, office staff, shop and field employees, to be processed at different times.
• If the Job Costing software module is installed, updating of job costs and hours from the Payroll module may be done on a daily, or pay period bases keeping job costs up-to-date.
• Unlimited earning and deduction types per employee within payroll period.
• Unlimited earning and deduction types.
• Statutory deductions.

Earning Definitions

• An unlimited number of earning definitions may be defined. Earning types may be defined, for example, as Regular Earrings, Overtime Earnings, Bonus, Commission, Mileage, Living out Allowance, Piece Work, etc.
• With each Earning ID, specify Trade and Trade Classification.
• Specify State, County and City with each Earning ID.
• Earning definitions may be specified with respect to taxability, active status, contribute to statutory deductions, contribute to calculation of "Other Deductions", such as, for example, Union Dues, all through user specified Yes/No options.
• Indicate whether or not the earnings contribute to Vacation Pay, Holiday Pay, Sick Pay, etc.
• Distribution to General Ledger may be specified for each earning definition with the option to override the expense portion of the earning at time of payroll entry.

Payroll Entry for Certified Payroll

• Entries into the payroll module are easy and quick. An Employee ID may be entered directly, or selected from a pop-up window. The default Earning ID, as established in the Employee master file for the selected employee will be shown, and may be selected by simply pressing the Enter key.
• Multiple Earning Definitions (rates) may be used when entering time for an employee within a single pay period without limitation to the number of earning definition which may be entered into the payroll period.
  For example, an employee may work on a job which requires a certified payroll report, work on a none union job, or does any other work, or at a different rates, all on the same day, or within the same pay period.
• Multiple Job numbers may be used when entering time for an employee within a single pay period without limitation to the number of job numbers which may be entered into the payroll period.
• Union payroll reports allows for an unlimited number of union rates, each of which can be used within a pay period, for a single employee.

Payroll Distribution to Job Costing

• Integration with the Job Costing module is automatic if installed and saves from repetitive data entry between modules. If Job Costing is not installed, a summary distribution report provides the necessary information required to journalize to a 3rd party module.
• Has the capability to specify the Job-Phase and Job-Sub-Phase to which the labor should be posted on a Job, and whether or not this labor expense is to be posted to the base contract, or an extra, in which case a work or change order may be specified.
• Postings to the Job Costing module will retain units (hours) in addition to wages and labor burden
• Payroll may be entered  on a daily bases and has the capability to update Job Costing on a daily bases without running, or waiting for completion of the payroll period, providing management with update-to-date Job Cost reports at all times.

Certified Payroll Reports

• Printing certified payroll software reports for the construction industry, is as easy as specifying the payroll week ending period and pressing the print button. No additional or duplicate entry is required.
• This option keeps a detailed audit trail of overtime and regular hours, rates, gross, deductions  and net wages paid, wage totals paid by job for each classification by job number and employee.
• Employees may be assigned multiple classifications within a pay period.
• Using Certified Payroll software, reports may be printed as often as required, and may be printed after payroll is competed and posted, regardless of the pay period.
• The user has full control over which classifications and earning types (labor codes) are included in the Certified Payroll report.

Monthly Utilization Payroll Reports

• Printing a monthly utilization payroll report is as easy as specifying the starting and ending payroll periods and pressing the print button. No additional or duplicate entry is required.

Union Payroll Reports

• To print a union payroll report is as easy as specifying the starting and ending payroll periods and pressing the print button. No additional or duplicate entry is required.
